Listening to a presentation (with PPT) today where the presenter hit a busy slide and said, “I’ll give you a minute to look this over.” Which is the correct thing to do (overlooking the fact that the busy slide should have been axed altogether), except that there was never even a pause to allow us, the audience, to do that.So with verbal cues, I’m supposed to be looking at the slide, but before I can do that, we’re talking about something else, the slide was never brought into focus again, and I’m confused as to what I’m supposed to be watching, listening to, or concentrating on.

Make sure you focus audience attention on exactly what you want your message to say.
