Heard this in a meeting today, but it could have been most any day. I hear it a lot. I dislike it every time. It’s a Top Ten Pet Peeve (T2P2).”As Susie Queue just said…” or “To repeat what John Q. just told you…”Then why on earth are you wasting my time to say it again? If you weren’t happy with what they said, then tell me what should have been said. If you agreed, say you agree and move on. If you just want to hear yourself talk, get up earlier and take a longer shower. But don’t waste my time and then insult me by saying you’re going to say something I’ve already heard and tell me I’ve already heard it.
Add content and value. Only repeat for emphasis, and find another way to do it other than telling them you’re repeating yourself/another.
